Woodturners Guild
The
Quinte Woodturners
Guild meets
the third Thursday of every month at the Club 105 Seniors,
Membership in
the Guild will be open to any person 16 years of age or older,
regardless of
gender or ability. Turners under 18
years of age would have to be accompanied by an adult.
The
fee for
membership is $15 per year and runs from Sept. to Sept.
The
first part
of the meeting consists of general business, where members may raise
any items
for discussion. Following the business portion there is a demonstration
on the
lathe or other related subjects, by various members, or visiting
turners.
There
is a show
and tell period where members are encouraged to bring some items of
their work
and give a brief talk on them, describing methods and problems
encountered.
A
library
containing woodturning videos, books and magazines is available for use
by
members.
Visitors
are
welcome to visit regardless of their experience at turning.
