Local Activities

C.F.U.W. Belleville & District meets the third Thursday of each month at St. Thomas Anglican Church. Monthly programs are planned to address issues that are relevant and appealing to different interests.

This year we offered $2500 in scholarships to graduates of local secondary schools who a pursuing a post-secondary education either at a community college or university.

Special interest groups provide opportunities for friendship, thought provoking discussions and opportunities to learn. These groups cover Canadian Literature, Gourmet, Read the World, Contemporary Concerns, Investment, and Bridge.

National Activities

On the national level, we lobby the Federal government about our policies on education, the status of women, human rights, and the quality of life.

We provide opportunities to network with members at local, regional, provincial, national, and international meetings.

We support the C.F.U.W. Charitable Trust which receives individual and club donations and manages funds for graduate awards and fellowships, an annual music award and an annual grant to the National Library of Canada.
