Colleen is a singer, songwriter and plays the guitar. She is also an independent business woman very actively involved with a Foundation for Youth and is an author and speaker. She has published 4 CD’s and one short story in rhyme.

Music for: Community Events, Weddings, Dances, Concerts, Coffee House, Private Events, Church Functions, Family outings -specialty SCHOOLS etc.

Performs as: solo, duo or with full band

Style: folk/rock/east coast-Celtic/blues/alternative depending on size of group and performance required.

MUSIC HISTORY

Colleen has performed as Muzic and MacAlister in places such as Dinkles and the Sun Valley in the 1980’s, as Mik and Mac as a duo in the 1990’s for several years at places such as the Two Loons private gatherings and Legion function,

She has performed with and still performs with the following Bands: Ceilagh Drovers, Crimson & Clover( classic rock ), REAL LIGHT( contemporary Christian ) and Hearts Delight (Celtic East Coast 4 piece Band).

Colleen has performed in wide variety of venues from Churches to Pubs, from posh clubs in Toronto to Parks and Beaches. Her singing voice and simple guitar has been called upon to perform in pubs in Scotland, Churches in Spain, Schools, Weddings, private parties and most recently at the Boat House in Belleville and the Fare and Fowl in Tweed. Her love for Youth and experience in the school system makes her a good choice for Character Building programs in the School System.

Independent

Colleen’s music and stories help build positive moral virtues and character. She has been invited to perform and speak in several schools as well as developing lunch programs for various communities with programs for Youth. All including guitar her own music and stories, Colleens presentations have been well received and she has many young fans and has gone through hundreds of her CD REAL LIGHT and dozens of her book The Star of Mrs. Nicks.

Colleen currently works part time for St. Peters Parish and visits St. Peters and St. Marys classrooms on a regular basis. She has also presented and performed in St. Pauls, ran a program at Centre Hastings Secondary School, been in Madoc Township School, George Vanier, Holy Rosary, Tweed Hungerford Elementary School, St. Carthaghs Elementary School. Every visit includes music and stories building character in a positive way.

ALSO with the Hearts Delight Band, she has performed for family dances and special celebrations and assemblies that can speak to fun and the history of the EAST COAST folk songs at St. Michaels, St. Carthaghs and schools in Sydnam! A great opportunity for youth and the Band also loves this venue. AS well Hearts Delight has special pricing to help with FUND RAISING events!
