About
the Artist
Peggy Holcroft
was born in Toronto. Having spent
a number of years in Belleville, she has
recently returned
to the Quinte region after living in the United States for twenty
years. Peggy Holcroft, as an
artist. has been a
member of the various communities through the years, most recently
St.Petersburg Florida, where she
was very active in the art
scene.
A
passionate entrepreneur, Peggy Holcroft has been
successful in
business and now devotes her time to her "love of art". Peggy has
exstensive International commissions of private residences and
businesses. As a
member of the Quinte Arts Council and Belleville Art Association, where
she is
the advertising chair on the executive board, she has participated in
several
events in 2003, 2004, and continues in 2005.
Peggy
explores the concepts of reality and imagination using oil as her
medium. Peggy
has a real love for historic homes, churches, and other buildings and
finds
herself caught up in the history they have to tell of days gone by. She
sees
these historic buildings as having something special about them. Each
one has a
uniqueness or beauty that asks to be captured and shared. Peggy can be
